Description
THM – Hydraulic Pilot Joysticks and foot pedal valve provide accurate hydraulic control in 2-way, 3-way, 4-way and 7-way configurations. They are engineered with direct-acting pressure reduction and heavy-duty construction and sealing to provide smooth operation in pumps, motors, and valves in construction, machinery, and industrial hydraulic systems.
Working Principle
The hydraulic disc pilot control device is based on the principle of a direct-acting pressure reducing valve. It consists of an operating lever, two pressure-reducing valves and a protective housing.
All pressure reducing valves have a control valve core, control spring, return spring, and plunger. At rest, the lever is held in place by the return spring that links the control oil ports to the tank. The movement of the handle moves the plunger and compresses the springs and diverts hydraulic flow.
This action closes the back line and opens the pressure line creating proportional hydraulic pressure. The pressure within the oil port is equal to the plunger stroke and the location of the handle. The design allows proportional hydraulic control of pumps, motors and multi-way valves with ease.
The internal parts are not contaminated by a rubber dust cover that guarantees operation in adverse conditions.
